Read at home: read to page 200 of the One and Only Ivan by Katherine Applegate.  If you want to read faster you can finish this book.  We will pay Vanbucks for "Mom approved" books you start and finish after you have finished Ivan.  If you want to get paid you will need to bring the book to class:)

Poetry: Recite all of the poems learned so far.  And memorize the 3rd verse of hymn 89, "The Lord is my Light"

Writing: Write a letter or note to someone you haven't seen for a while.  It could be a relative, friend, neighbor, etc.  Tell them what you appreciate about them and why you  miss them.  Hand deliver or mail the letter.  

Leadership: Find a person you would like to learn more about.  Read a book about them. Find more out about them on the internet.

Come to class ready to present about them. Dress like them. Show us about their life and what they did.  Why did you pick them? Be creative and fun in showing us who this person is and what they have accomplished. HAVE FUN!

Class Time:  Depending on the weather, we may go birding.  Please bring binoculars and a jacket.
